About

Karinna is a visual artist living in Anchorage, Alaska. She earned a BA from Northwestern University in Art Theory & Practice in 2009 and an MFA from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2014. She has since taught as an adjunct lecturer in the UAF Art Department and worked in the Fine Arts and Ethnology & History collections at the UA Museum of the North. Karinna has been an artist in residence at Women's Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY, Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, CO and at Galleri Christensen in Kjøllefjord, Norway. She has received several awards including a Fulbright Grant to Iceland and a Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Award.
